ABOUT

"My Poor Tired Liver" (MPTL) began as a joke among friends after too many consecutive late nights. Cheap beer, cheep food, loud music, and our poor tired livers. One day, I realized my mental and physical well-being were more important than my social calendar and thus, a new meaning for MPTL was born.

I knew what I needed to do when I hit a health plateau; I went vegan. Shortly after, I went raw. My health, happiness, and overall clarity took precedence over everything else I had going and low and behold, I grew happier, healthier, and became empowered.

My Poor Tired Liver in its blog form started in late 2011. I began chronicling every vegan and raw recipe I created in hope that I could use these recipes to help others looking to achieve greater health. Feeling a strong responsibility to research every detail before feeling comfortable putting my thoughts out in the world, I decided to pursue Raw Food Chef training, my Detox Coach certification, and (in progress) my Holistic Nutrition Coaching certification.

I look forward to sharing my food with the world and coaching others so they can do the same. Through our lifestyle and nutrition choices, we can better respect ourselves and demonstrate compassion for others.

Eat your vegetables.

Our mission is to provide others with easy access to cruelty-free, healthy, living foods. Whether you are high raw, fully raw, vegan, vegetarian, or omnivorous, we strive to treat you to something nourishing that you can feel good about.

The food we make is meant to appeal to all the senses, which makes it a great transitional food for people curious about raw, but also serves as a convenient, healthy meal for plant-eaters who are already on the path.

We travel all over the world and invest in our own nutrition education so we may provide our customers with the best ingredients, well-rounded guidance, and the healthiest practices.

"The best guru is you," so listen to your body and feed it LIFE.
